As an Artist, Ties is a genuine autodidact and unconventional, finding Beauty in Imperfection, Spontaneity and Change over recent decades. Ties has created hundreds of art works comprised of paintings, prints, wearables, models, statues, and short films.
His work is found in private and corporate collections worldwide including (but not limited to) the US, UK, Belgium, Spain, and New Zealand.
Ties is a global citizen with dutch roots as well as a Marbleheader living in Old Town.
